1. [Preface]

First off, some informative and some legal notes. After that, the remainder of this file is in German.

A WWW VERSION OF THIS FILE IS AVAILABLE AT:

1.1 [Note to readers who don't currently study in Germany:]

This file contains information that will be useful mostly for university students who are studying in Germany or who are German nationals. This means that a lot of the addresses as well as a good deal of the information related to the course of studies in this file pertains to German conditions only. Not the URLs, of course :-). Nevertheless, this file also appears in news.answers, not just in de.answers. Yes, the nature of the *.answers newsgroups is a somewhat strange one. Don't blame me :-).

1.2 [Necessary, Lengthy, and Explicit Copyright Note]

I do not take any responsibility for the correctness and applicability of the information contained in this file. (But I do make an effort :-).) None of the information found in here is official information issued or endorsed by a national government, university, college, corporation, or similar body.

I am not responsible for the contents of any other site that this site may link to.

Everyone is allowed to copy and distribute verbatim copies of this file including the complete header and version information for non-commercial purposes only, in printed or electronic form. Changing this file is not allowed.

I do encourage all non-commercial distribution of this file if the above conditions are met by the distributor(s).

I have identified all quotes in the text. Except where specifically noted, the remaining text has been compiled and written by me. This means, flatly, that since this file contains verbatim quotes from articles posted by other people on Usenet, you cannot use it anywhere inside or outside of Usenet other than for non-commercial purposes (such as free-access distribution on the Internet) or personal reference.

(See the article "Copyright Myths FAQ: 10 big myths about copyright explained" by Brad Templeton <brad at clari.net>, available directly from Brad Templeton's web site.

So, with all of the above caveats: This file is copyrighted © 1994-2004 by Christian Taube. It is not in the Public Domain, nor anywhere near it. If you want to change anything in it, you have to ask me. You may not distribute it for profit.
